This Fir bench and bookcase was custom designed for a client
as a place to sit and remove your shoes just inside the front door in their house.

The colors of the clear vertical grain fir in this piece
turned out very nice. The seat opens for storage, hinged on dowels. |

|
On the back side of the bench is a bookcase with
adjustable shelves. The unit acts a a sort of room divider between the
front door and the living room. Notice all the slight arches at the tops
and bottoms of the frames.
